Rockdale ISD board approves election order, financial reports and related consent items

During the consent agenda, trustees approved several routine but consequential items. Motions passed to: accept the minutes of the Dec. 16, 2024 meeting; apply to TEA for the 2025–26 Staff Development Minutes Waiver; and approve the School Trustee Election Order and Notice for the May 3, 2025 election to elect trustees for Place 3, Place 4 and Place 5.
The board also authorized an election agreement with Milam County Elections Office and a resolution authorizing the Superintendent to enter joint election agreements and amend election orders as needed. Financial motions approved included the December 2024 Financial Report (noting large December expenditures to Burleson Milam Special Services, Fikes Wholesale, Inc., and Milam Appraisal District) and a budget transfer reclassifying a salary/benefit function code. The motions recorded a series of unanimous votes (motions carried 5‑0).
