Key reallocations described included funding for support staff tied to early transportation for tutoring and football, additional athletics maintenance and repair funds due to early hiring of Navy staff, an increase to Account 952 (Fund 16) for security supplies, a $900 general-supplies line to replace batteries in three AED units, and raised academic tuition & fees to cover more students enrolled in dual-credit and early-college classes. The amendment was moved by Becky Gutierrez, seconded by Rodney Malin, and passed with a recorded vote (Yea 6, Nay 0, Absent 1).
Board members asked staff to continue monitoring enrollment and transportation timing to confirm the reallocated funds are sufficient ahead of the 2024–25 school-year start.
