Scott Bell, the district’s College and Career Readiness Director, presented to the board on Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), explaining how the frameworks provide layered supports to help all students succeed.
"These frameworks help to ensure the success of all students by providing appropriate supports to each child," Bell said, and he described staff and roles supported by CCR funding: school counselors, social workers, coaches and licensed behavioral analysts. Bell also said school-based teams use Panorama and other tools to deliver and monitor supports.
Board members were told the College and Career Readiness department will provide the trustees with research and data sources on MTSS and PBIS to inform future decisions. The presentation was framed as informational; no policy vote or resource reallocation was made during the study session.
