At its June 16 meeting the Wink-Loving ISD Board of Trustees approved a technical change to the District of Innovation plan: the board removed language that prevented starting school before the second Monday in August. The minutes state that with inservice days moved to Aug. 14–15 the district intends to start students on Aug. 7 for the 2025–26 school year.
Trustee Raymond Dodd moved to approve the change to the DOI plan as presented; Trustee Jerome Dewberry seconded and the motion passed with a unanimous vote. The agenda item references an attached DOI plan for review.
