Wimberley ISD trustees sworn in and leadership re-elected after Nov. 5 canvass

On Nov. 18 the Wimberley ISD Board administered oaths to three trustees, officially canvassed the Nov. 5 election, and voted unanimously to reconstitute board officers: Dr. Rob Campbell (President), Ken Strange (Vice President), and Chad Canine (Secretary).
The Wimberley Independent School District Board of Trustees on Nov. 18 formally canvassed the Nov. 5, 2024 election results, administered the Oath of Office to newly seated trustees Andrea Justus, Lindsey Deringer and Dr. Rob Campbell, and issued the corresponding Statements of Elected Officer.
Executive Assistant Ashley Buse administered the oaths before the board approved a motion to officially canvass the election (motion by Ken Strange; seconded by Lexi Jones). The canvass motion was recorded as Passed, Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1. After the oath, trustees nominated and elected board officers: Dr. Rob Campbell as President, Ken Strange as Vice President, and Chad Canine as Secretary; each nomination passed by roll call vote 6-0.
The board recessed briefly at 7:15 p.m. and reconvened at 7:20 p.m. with the newly seated trustees taking their places. The board set the next regular meeting for Dec. 16, 2024.
