Commissioners approve opioid-settlement transfers and authorize Medicaid EMS supplemental-payment MOU

Separately, the board authorized a memorandum of understanding with the Ohio Department of Medicaid for an emergency medical service supplemental payment program intended to secure additional Medicaid reimbursements for Seneca County EMS. County staff described significant federal- and state-level uncertainty around the program’s revenue but said the county could receive additional reimbursement "anywhere up to $20,000," stressing that the payment is not guaranteed until the state completes its process. Commissioners approved the MOU by roll call.
County administration also presented multiple opioid-remediation grant line items for the sheriff’s office — salaries, supplies, software licenses and contract services — as part of the grant-funded program. The supplemental-appropriation package containing these grant line items was approved during the meeting.
