Students, staff honored at Mason Consolidated Schools board meeting

At its Nov. 13 meeting the Mason Consolidated Schools Board of Education honored Shawna Lucarelli as the September Staff Member of the Month and Todd Hodge as the October Staff Member of the Month; both recognitions were sponsored by Leski Wittman Insurance Agency. The board also presented a Letter of Commendation to 12th-grader Zhuoran Cai for being named a Commended Student in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program; Cai will be featured as a BCSN Spotlight Scholar (airing Dec. 14–Jan. 4) and received a $1,000 scholarship.
Student council reports followed the recognitions. High-school student council member Molly Sepulveda and middle-school student council member Madeline Kolbe each shared updates on monthly activities. The minutes indicate that the pledge of allegiance was led by CES student council officers Ava DeSloover, Bennett Gordy and Jackson Eurenius.
