Tri-County staff says TIP adopted; EV charging and two new cycle stations installed

Andrew Palmer told the commission that staff formally adopted and submitted the regional Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) in June after a public comment period and outreach events. He also said staff submitted local priority inputs for PennDOT's EV charging program and that two new SUSCO cycle stations — one at Fort Hunter Park and one near the Jewish Community Center by Italian Lake Park — are now installed and operational.

"We voted and adopted the TIP formally and then submitted it," Andrew said, adding that the EV charging work relates to PennDOT's local charger stage of its charging grant program. Diane noted ridership is picking up for the SUSCO cycle program in the summer months. Staff described outreach efforts including in-person and online sessions and a story map to help the public understand the TIP and amendment process.
