Dauphin County comprehensive plan fully funded after MAP award

Andrew Palmer told the commission that a $75,000 MAP (Municipal Assistance Program) grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, together with a previously secured gaming grant, fully funds the Dauphin County comprehensive plan update.
"This MAP grant for Dauphin County comprehensive plan support — 75,000" Andrew said, noting the grant was fully executed and staff were awaiting the payment contract. He added the combined awards meant the county "is fully funded" for the plan update and staff could now proceed with the planning work without diverting additional staff time to chase funding.
Staff said the award clears a major funding hurdle for the comprehensive plan and that contracting and billing steps were underway to enable work to proceed.
