Board approves move to bank-issued procurement cards, staff cites rebate savings

Board members asked how authorized cardholders would be chosen and whether procedures would change. Staff replied that authorization would follow existing board policy for credit cards (administrators, bus drivers, coaches, etc.), purchases would still require appropriate authorization and purchase orders, and cards would be checked in and out rather than carried by employees. The board moved, seconded and approved a resolution authorizing procurement cards.
