Council approves FPL agreement to add five 30-foot LED fixtures in Park St Commerce Center

The City Council voted unanimously June 16 to approve a Lighting Emitting Diode (LED) lighting agreement with Florida Power & Light to install five 30-foot light fixtures on NE 13th Avenue and NE 3b Street in the Park St Commerce Center. Council Member Robert Jarriel moved the approval and Vice Mayor Monica M. Clark seconded the motion.
City Administrator Ritter told the council a change order will be issued to B & B Site Development, Inc., to add electrical conduit beneath the roadway; the cost will be covered by Florida Department of Commerce Grant Agreement No. D0339. Ritter also noted the current contract covers Phase I of the work and that remaining roadways are planned for Phase II, and staff has sent project information to RMPK Funding to pursue additional grant funds.
