Tom Strack, chairman of the Camp and Center Lake Rehabilitation District, told the board “Nobody has done as much for the village's lakes as Dennis has,” and said the lake district will pay any costs to update signage. Dean Hintzman, a past chair of the rehabilitation district, read a statement urging the dedication as “a fitting tribute” to Faber’s lifetime of service. Chair moved to rename the landing; the motion was seconded and carried.
Dennis Faber accepted the recognition at the meeting and thanked his family and volunteers. Board members asked Faber’s family to join him for a photo under the new sign before proceeding to the next agenda item. The board recorded no fiscal impact to the village; speakers said the lake district will cover sign installation costs.
