The Kings Consolidated School District #144 board met May 21, 2025, in the school library and opened the regular meeting at 6:01 p.m. Board President J. Good called the meeting to order and the board recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Board member Danielle Beck moved to adopt the meeting agenda; Todd Schabacker seconded and the motion carried (recorded vote: YES: 4, NO: 0, ABSENT: 3). The board then approved the consent agenda, covering the April agenda and bills and payroll for April, on a motion from Jake Good with a second from Logan Teut (same recorded vote totals). During old business trustees reviewed staff appreciation plans and meeting dates before approving the 2025–26 committee assignments and the Kings CSD #144 2025–26 handbook on a motion moved by Danielle Beck and seconded by Logan Teut (vote recorded: YES: 4, NO: 0, ABSENT: 3).
The approvals were routine and carried unanimously among those present; the minutes record three absences for the meeting.
