Royse City ISD trustees approve consent agenda; board hires five and ratifies five resignations

Royse City Independent School District's seven-member Board of Trustees unanimously approved the consent agenda at its Jan. 13 regular meeting and approved a set of personnel actions following closed session.
Trustee Eric Fort moved to approve the consent agenda, Trustee Mike Anderson seconded, and the board voted 7-0 to adopt the consent items, which included minutes of prior meetings, monthly financial reports, the quarterly investment report, the approved vendor list, the budget amendment report and purchases over $50,000 in accordance with board policy CH(LOCAL). The minutes record: "Eric Fort made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda, Mike Anderson seconded the motion, and the motion passed 7-0."
Following the board's closed session, Dr. Brian Zator moved and Trustee Jessica Ratterree seconded a motion to approve recommendations for hire. The board approved the following recommended hires: Laura Perkins (Scott campus); Shelley Burnett (Vernon); Heather Graham (Herndon); Michael Maldonado (Davis); and Jessica Shrewsbury (Baley). The motion passed 7-0.
Superintendent Dr. Anderson asked trustees to ratify acceptance of resignations from Natalie Parker (Herndon), Shelby Jayroe (Baley), Richard Harris (RCHS), Carolyn Hickey (Summers), and Tiffany Charter (RCHS). Trustee Amanda Self moved to ratify Dr. Anderson's acceptance of the resignations, Trustee Mike Anderson seconded, and the motion passed 7-0.
No individual roll-call votes were recorded in the transcript beyond the unanimous tallies. The personnel approvals and resignations were entered into the district records as board actions from the Jan. 13 meeting.
