Airport manager: three of four new hangars operational, funding available to expand

Terrence, the airport manager, told council that the new hangars were officially handed over on or around the 20th and that three of the four spaces are already in service or under contract.
"So we officially got handed over those hangers," Terrence said, noting the state program that subsidizes hangar construction and drive to expand aviation infrastructure. He recommended a budget amendment to continue pursuing additional hangars while state funding is available; council expressed support for bringing back a budget amendment at the next meeting.
The airport team said they will evaluate hangar sizes and pricing strategy to maximize occupancy and long-term return to the municipal airport.
