Comal County approved a package of line-item transfers to the indigent health care fund to cover additional expenditures for November and December 2025. Indigent health staff explained rising costs and the county's assumption of inmate billing this year as drivers of the requested transfers.
Indigent health staff said: "We are requesting the transfer so that we can continue indigent health care for November, December, not only for the indigent health care, but, of course, we also assumed inmate billing this year, so that was the cost of, the rising cost of it." Commissioner Hogg moved to approve action item 9; Commissioner Leacock seconded and the court carried the motion.
