Trustee Tina M. Schiaffino moved and Trustee Todd A. Svec seconded the Board’s adoption of Resolutions 17145-2024 and 17146-2024 to reallocate American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and to increase a federal-aid revenue line to balance the changes. The approved expenditure increases were: $4,004.40 to A8510.400 (Beautification — Contractual), $69,362.00 and $85,000.00 to A5110.200 (Street Maintenance — Equipment), and $5,969.00 to A1680.400 (Data Processing — Contractual).
To offset those increases, the Board increased the revenue line A-4089 (Federal Aid/Other) by $164,335.40. The two resolutions were moved by Trustee Schiaffino, seconded by Trustee Svec, and carried on a roll-call vote with Mayor Daniel M. Pearl and all trustees recorded as voting AYE. The changes were presented as a paired expenditure adjustment and revenue recognition so the budget remained balanced.
The reallocations direct ARPA dollars toward beautification work, street maintenance equipment purchases, and data-processing contractual services. The minutes do not specify vendors, procurement timelines, or which street-equipment purchases are planned. The Board did not record additional discussion or dissent during the vote. The resolutions appear as 17145-2024 (expenditure changes) and 17146-2024 (revenue increase).
