County accepts 1.055-acre voluntary right-of-way dedication on Demijohn Bend Road

Comal County accepted a voluntary dedication of 1.055 acres of right of way on the east side of Demijohn Bend Road at its Dec. 4 meeting. County staff described the dedication as part of a larger tract and recommended the county accept the voluntary platting and dedication.
A county staff presenter (David) explained that property owners had adjusted plans after groundwater availability rules affected platting and "decided just to cut out a 20 acre tract, and, do some work there." Commissioner Leacock moved to approve the action; Commissioner Hogg seconded, and the judge announced the motion carried after clarifying the dedication expands a 30-foot strip toward a 60-foot major-thoroughfare right-of-way.
