The Cohasset School Committee voted to accept a $15,000 donation from the Clark Chatterton Memorial Fund to help complete a wellness recreation courtyard at the middle and high schools.
Dr. Shannon said Mr. Ford and Mr. Scott pursued a grant for the project and that the site required ADA-compliant materials, which increased costs beyond the original grant. "On behalf of the Clark Chatterton Memorial Fund, they're pleased to formally offer a donation of $15,000 to the Cohasset Public Schools," Dr. Shannon reported. The check will be routed through the landscaping contractor performing the work.
The committee moved to accept the gift with gratitude; the roll call vote was 4–0. Members thanked the fund and encouraged community participation in supporting local projects that benefit students.
