Council delays Ambient Environmental contract amid unanswered cost questions

Councilors pressed staff for contract details after agenda materials listed no dollar amount. "We've got 1000000 dollar grant," Mayor Siquani said, adding, "We'll end up spending about $900,000 of that, 900 and some thousand dollars of that on demolition and air monitor." Staff acknowledged 11 firms submitted proposals and described the award as a contingency/hourly professional services contract tied to the demolition scope. Council asked staff to obtain the selected firm's rate sheet and more complete cost information before the council votes on the resolution.
