Council urged to attend water-authority meeting as fire-hydrant responsibility remains unresolved

Minnich also reported personal property damage near the Elks club — his vehicle has been struck four times over 2½ years — and asked whether the club was overserving patrons. He requested installation of cameras to identify culprits; Ms. Barley replied that the Elks do not own the parking lot and provided the name Darryl Rider as a contact and advised Minnich to attend the house committee meeting.
No decision was recorded at the work session about which entity holds final responsibility for hydrant maintenance; council and the water authority will reconvene to collect ideas and scope responsibilities.
