Others asked staff to confirm applicability and reminded the board its role is to interpret the zoning law rather than base decisions solely on policy preferences.
The board agreed to schedule the item for a public hearing next month and to revisit the question before any formal vote. Members asked staff to prepare references in the zoning code to clarify whether agriculture-related temporary uses in that district are eligible for abbreviated review.
