Among the items recorded in the minutes were Pay App #32 to Bartlett Cocke General Contractors for $636,822.96 (Package 2 work on the new high school and renovations to Smith Middle School) and a $60,295.21 invoice to A. Bargas & Associates for furniture for the new Sinton High School. The board also recorded approval of a $142,500 purchase from Thomas Built Buses for a 78-passenger bus and a $50,850.50 final roofing payment to Rio Roofing for Sinton Elementary.
Other approved invoices included Direct Energy Business Corp. ($69,731.56 for electricity service), San Patricio County Appraisal District ($82,956.19 first-quarter allocation) and Labatt Food Service Corp. ($68,005.09 for food and supplies). The minutes indicate these purchases were made through various cooperative purchasing agreements (Choice Partners, BuyBoard, Region 1) and that the bus purchase and some expenditures had been approved at earlier meetings.
The consent agenda was moved by Board Member Israel Ethan Garza and seconded by Board Member Sam P. Lankford; the motion passed unanimously, 7-0.
