"Mr. Bright moved, seconded by Mr. Jenkins, to postpone until the next regular board meeting. The Board would like to give the community the opportunity to have more time to be heard," the minutes state. Both motions (one for the baseball complex and one for the softball complex) passed with ayes from trustees Bright, Crettenden, Duncan, Guerra, Jenkins, and Mueller and no recorded nays.
Board discussion preceded the motions and the postponements were framed as procedural decisions to allow broader community engagement before the board takes formal naming action.
