Seguin ISD board elects Denise Crettenden president, reorganizes officers

The Seguin ISD Board of Trustees reorganized its officers during the Nov. 19 regular meeting, electing Denise Crettenden as board president. The nomination by Joshua Bright was seconded by Linda Duncan and the motion carried with six affirmative votes; Lisa Burns was absent.
The board also approved Linda Duncan as vice president — a motion that carried with one abstention by Duncan — and selected Grace Mueller as secretary. Members used the reorganization to thank outgoing officers for their service. The board will continue routine business and follow-up as required under the Education Code.
