The East Palo Alto City Council presented a proclamation honoring the Ravenswood Little League Wolfpack 12–14 junior Fall Ball District 52 champions, listing players and coaches and praising the program's community value.
The mayor read the proclamation noting the team's 5–3 regular-season record and a 7–4 championship win over Foster City. Assistant coach Johnny Vickers described the team's work ethic: "Within 1 year, we did something with these kids that hasn't been done in 40 to 50 years," and emphasized practice and persistence. Parents and coaches asked the city to prioritize a working scoreboard and field lights at MLK Park so the program can practice later in the day; a parent said additional lights and a scoreboard would allow the team to "contend with some of the teams that we play outside of our city."
Councilmembers congratulated the team and coaches, thanked volunteers and sponsors, and discussed next steps for park improvements and fundraising. The council amended its prior consent motion to include the proclamation and presented it to coaches and families for a photograph.
