At a meeting July 21 in Wiscasset, the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners approved Warrant #62 for $558,424.17 and Warrant #64 for $440,048.56, and approved Payroll Warrant #2026-14 (paid July 10, 2026) for $317,309.69. Finance Director Michelle Kane presented the warrants and each motion was approved by a 3-0 vote.
The board also adopted the FY2027 Budget Calendar as presented by Director Kane. The calendar sets the caucus for September 10, 2026; a public hearing on September 17, 2026; a Budget Advisory Committee work session on October 16, 2026; an informational meeting on October 29, 2026; and a final vote to occur on or before the commissioners meeting of December 15, 2026. Commissioners framed the calendar as the schedule that will guide departmental budget presentations and public engagement in the fall.
The board's actions consolidated routine fiscal approvals and scheduling that set the county's budget timeline for the 2027 fiscal year.
