Resident raises safety concerns about pool driveway for wheelchair vans

A resident whose daughter uses a wheelchair told the board she and other pool users are scraping the bottom of their wheelchair-accessible van when turning into the pool driveway and described safety risks if they must make an exaggerated slow turn in traffic.
"The only way we can get to the pool ... the only way right now we can get to the pool ... and when you do that, it scrapes the bottom of our car," the resident said, asking whether the bump could be addressed or whether a safer parking option could be created. Volunteers pointed out a less-steep roadway around the back of the cemetery and offered to meet the resident at noon the next day to demonstrate the route; the volunteer identified himself as David Boyse and agreed to drive the route so the resident could decide whether it would work.
