Comal County's tax assessor‑collector presented the final collection report for tax year 2024 and the court approved it on Nov. 20. Kristen Hoyt said tax year 2025 bills were posted online Nov. 10 and mailings were underway, and the court approved the report.
The court also handled administrative transfers: the jail received a transfer to cover copier lease and maintenance overages for the remainder of 2025, and the sheriff's office moved funds from capital equipment to a software subscription line to cover an LPR (license plate reader) software subscription. Commissioners approved the transfers by voice vote and thanked staff for the explanations.
These routine approvals allow staff to close the fiscal year and continue critical operations in public safety and tax collection.
