Snyder ISD board approves participation in LASO 4 to expand instructional supports

The Snyder ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve participation in the Learning Acceleration Support Opportunities (LASO) Cycle 4 grant at its Nov. 20 special budget workshop. Committee member Doug Neff moved to approve the LASO 4 grant and Committee member Michael Rodriquez seconded; the motion carried with all members voting in favor.
District staff described LASO 4 as targeted funding to strengthen instructional systems, accelerate student learning and expand educator development programs. Staff said the grant aligns with prior LASO cycles, the district's Strong Foundations Implementation (SFI) work, the Texas Tech Mentor Teacher partnership and Grow Your Own initiatives and highlighted specific allotments such as LIFT, LIFT SI PLC and SI CISG as areas the district expects to use under LASO 4.
