The Silsbee Independent School District Board of Trustees convened a special meeting on March 13, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the administration boardroom at 415 Highway 327 W. Board President Derrell Ferguson called the meeting to order and confirmed that trustees Kenneth Rulon, Jonta Miller, Kenneth Fisher, Dana Hancock and Jim de Garavilla were present.
As an opening procedural decision, the board deferred the Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance to the Regular meeting rather than performing them at the special session. The minutes list staff present as Dr. Gregg Weiss, Karen Ford and Missy Sundgren. The board reconvened in open session at 7:08 p.m., and a motion to adjourn made by Trustee Jim de Garavilla and seconded by Trustee Dana Hancock passed unanimously at 7:08 p.m.; the Regular meeting followed.
