Maybrook board shares community events, schedules 100th anniversary planning

During the Mayor's report and trustees' reports the Board publicized several community events and local planning efforts. Announced items included a Super Bowl chili sale on Saturday, Feb. 8 (4–5 p.m.; $8 per quart; orders due Feb. 1, contact Lori at 845-524-4175), a "Friendship Day" for seniors on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Maybrook Senior Center (11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.; lunch provided by the Office for the Aging), and the 5th annual wreath-laying ceremony for Black History Month on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. across from Medline Industries, 495 Rt. 416 in Montgomery.
Trustee Daryl Capozzoli reported the Maybrook 100th Anniversary planning meeting that evening went well and said the event is scheduled for July 11–12; the next anniversary planning meeting is Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. Board members also thanked staff for the snow response and encouraged resident participation in the announced events.
