DPW Superintendent Thorp told trustees that equipment for two parks has been delivered and crews have cleared trees to prepare for installation, but the contractor has not yet installed the equipment. Thorp requested authorization to buy a replacement trailer for the roller because the old trailer was not safe. The board approved the purchase, not to exceed $7,500, on a 4-0 vote.
The village will coordinate with the equipment vendor to schedule installation; Thorp told the board the only remaining step for park openings is bringing the installer on site. The purchase authorization will allow DPW to procure a safe trailer to move and support park maintenance equipment.
