Maybrook swears in re-elected trustees, new justice and promotes Lt. Dennis Barnett to deputy chief

The Village Clerk administered oaths of office for Trustee William Giannico, Trustee William Treco and Village Justice Judge Tina Fassnacht during the April 14 meeting. The minutes record the Clerk performed the oaths and the board congratulated the newly sworn officials.
The Board also appointed Lieutenant Dennis Barnett to the position of Deputy Chief of Police under Civil Service section 52.7; Clerk Griffith then administered the oath to Deputy Chief Barnett. Deputy Chief Barnett thanked the board and said he will provide an end-of-month report on department activity and that a new hire is progressing through the civil service process and psychological and medical clearance.
