Work session: Starbucks near completion; Take 5 demolition underway; Ameren project delayed

At an Aug. 4 Marlborough work session, trustees heard that the Starbucks site is expected to be structurally complete by mid-August, demolition has begun at the former White Castle for a Take 5 Oil Change, and an Ameren substation project is on hold until next year.
Trustee R. Fulton and Chairman Bornmueller summarized items from the Aug. 4 work session for the board at the Aug. 11 meeting. Chairman Bornmueller said the Starbucks building was expected to be completed by mid-August, with parking and landscaping to follow; he noted a 5-foot gap between the new fence and adjacent private property and said he would raise the maintenance issue with the contractor.
Trustee Fulton reported that demolition of the former White Castle had begun for the Take 5 Oil Change project and that the project "is moving forward." The minutes record the Ameren substation project as on hold until the beginning of next year. Trustees also reviewed a draft container ordinance at the work session and were asked to forward any questions to the clerk before the Aug. 11 vote.
