The county sheriff described a memorandum of understanding with the Texas Joint Counterdrug Task Force and asked the court to approve formal sign-off. The sheriff told the commissioners the county has worked with the task force for years and this is the first time the MOU has been brought before the court for formal approval.
"We have had an agreement with the Texas, Counter Drug Task Force for a number of years," the sheriff said, asking the court to authorize the MOU. The court approved the memorandum of understanding by motion; the record shows no public opposition or requested amendments during the presentation.
