Comal County staff announced the county will launch a new official website on Tuesday, Nov. 18, moving to a verified .gov domain to strengthen security and public trust. The site will use the domain comalcounty.gov and, staff said, will feature a modern design and clearer navigation to make county services easier to find.
"Visitors to the new site will notice a modern change, clearer navigation, and easier access to the information and services they use most," the staff member said, describing the rollout as part of ongoing efforts to improve digital accessibility and fraud protections. The court heard no public comment on the item and took no formal vote beyond the informational presentation.
The announcement included the launch date and an explanation that .gov domains are verified by the federal government to offer stronger protection against impersonation. Staff said the upgrade is intended to improve transparency and security for residents accessing county services online.
