Heritage Pines supervisors approved a contractor proposal Dec. 10 for additional cleanup at parcel 33 after a site visit and discussion about scope. The work includes perimeter cleanup, removal of dead trees and mulching; the motion approving the proposal, including the optional weed‑whacker scope for dry retention slopes, passed unanimously.
District Engineer Kurt Heath cautioned the board that a natural wetland exists in the center of the site and identified a separate excavated retention area on the western side, noting that "the portion on the south side is difficult to mow with equipment." Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz said wood chips are available at no cost and additional mulching is planned in early spring. The board requested maps for Supervisor Putman and instructed staff to pay the invoice upon completion.
