CDD amends FY 2023/24 budget to account for new mower, boosts contingency by $20,000

The Heritage Pines Community Development District adopted an amended fiscal‑year 2023/2024 budget at its Dec. 10 meeting to reflect a significant equipment purchase and other line-item clarifications. District Manager Chuck Adams presented Resolution 2025-02, saying the amendment was necessary “to reflect the major expenditure related to the new lawnmower.” The board also asked that columns be added to show 'Actual' versus 'Adopted Budget' and 'Proposed Increase/(Decrease)'.
The contingency line 'Operations and maintenance - Contingencies' was increased by $20,000 to allow for potential journal entries; Adams said any unused funds will remain in surplus fund balance. Chair Lonergan reported the district will receive a $1,298 refund from the Tax Collector’s Office. The resolution passed unanimously on a motion by Michael Walsh, seconded by Stephen Putman.
