City to contract with Planning Next for community engagement and CIP support

The council authorized a contract with Planning Next to provide revision planning and community engagement support for a capital improvement project. "They help us with our community engagement, first and foremost," a staff member said. The staff member listed examples including engagement at St. Louis, MLK, Broad Street and Langan Lake and said Planning Next helps communicate complex project information to the public. Council members asked whether the contract is tied to a specific project; staff said Planning Next supports many department projects and is a continuing asset to the city's outreach work.
