Ernie Villarreal, Bond Project Manager, told the Santa Rosa ISD Board that construction on the CTE/Early College renovation officially began after a July 23, 2024 notice to proceed and that the project shows a projected completion date of March 15, 2025. He listed specific unforeseen conditions and pricing proposals, including a $3,850 estimate to build a new 4" masonry wall and a $3,640 proposal to replace metal restroom doors and frames required for windstorm inspection compliance.
Villarreal also reported progress and outstanding work across other bond projects, including an AHU replacement at Elma Barrera Elementary (unit ordered April 2, tentatively shipping August 15, 2024) and multiple roof repair proposals for the De La Fuente locker rooms ranging from $71,540 to $165,000. On facility plumbing, the project team reported "Glad to announce that we have hot water at all plumbing fixtures in the athletic building to include all children shower stalls," and said a partial invoice was approved with 25% retained pending district training on maintenance procedures. The board received the update and did not amend the budget during the meeting.
