The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners made two appointments at the June 17 meeting.
Chair moved to appoint Bonnie Herb to the County Library Millage Board for a five-year term expiring June 30, 2030; the motion passed by voice vote and the chair announced, "Bonnie is appointed." Gail Narcos had spoken earlier in support of Herb's reappointment, outlining the county millage structure and the funding importance to smaller libraries.
The board also approved the reappointment of Don Rudy to the Veterans Affairs Committee for a four-year term expiring July 1, 2029. Rudy described his veteran service experience and his work assisting veterans in accessing benefits, saying he was "very grateful for the opportunity to help fellow veterans." The motions carried by voice votes.
