SBCEO to post local‑indicator self‑reflection on state dashboard this summer

Elise Simmons, director of student and community services, presented the SBCEO self‑reflection on local indicators that will be entered into the California School Dashboard. Simmons said the local indicators are self‑reported measures that let the COE add qualitative context and survey data to complement state indicators and test scores.
"This information is going to then be entered onto our dashboard, before, I think it's July 15," Simmons said, noting Bridget Bobitz will perform the data entry and that the dashboard posting will follow. She walked trustees through the 10 state priorities that guide LCAP goal alignment and stressed that the reflection and the public posting satisfy the local indicator reporting requirement.
The presentation was informational only; trustees asked procedural questions about timing and how local indicators align with LCAP goals. Simmons said the COE uses the self‑reflection to signal improvement areas and to integrate qualitative district information into the public dashboard.
