Board discusses encroachment at Pond 16, bench request and park maintenance

Assistant Secretary Carol Vaughan said the front property and Paleo Park "look great" and requested installation of another bench; Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz will meet with her to determine placement. Supervisor Michael Walsh reported that a homeowner-installed pool and cage near Pond 16 appeared to be encroaching on the EDRA and that significant bank damage had occurred; staff agreed homeowners are responsible and will monitor ongoing construction and address issues when appropriate.
The board noted twice-annual mulching of the entire park will begin in October 2024 and that curbs and numerous sidewalks by the front gate are being repaired as an HPCA responsibility. Adams will confirm when contractor A to Z will remove two trees hanging over houses.
