Florence awards $156,160 sewer-construction contract for Hwy. 49 Eagle Post Road project

City Engineer Tim Parker presented the recommendation and the bid tabulation showing six bids: Thornton Construction Company, Inc. $156,160.00; Hemphill Construction Co., Inc. $169,860.00; L&M Contractors, LLC $173,360.00; SE Pipeline & Environmental $199,925.00; Precision Pipeline & Drilling $218,387.50; McKee Construction, Inc. $224,686.00. The board carried the motion to award the low bid to Thornton Construction.
