Superintendent Dr. Wise told the board on Jan. 14 that the district has applied for a $50,000 School Maintenance Grant to help fund the Lakeview Gym 1 flooring renovation. Work on the gym update is scheduled to start over Spring Break with an anticipated completion date of Aug. 1, 2026, and TEAM 66 has donated $20,000 to assist with new video boards to replace the original scoreboard.
The board approved the district’s School Maintenance Grant Application in a unanimous 7–0 vote (motion by Steve Dlugo, seconded by Megan DuPass). Bids for Phase One of a summer parking lot project have passed county inspection and will be released for bid; final bid awards are expected in March. The board will consider budget and bid documents at upcoming meetings.
