Tara Herndon presented a redesigned District Dashboard that administrators said is housed on the district’s homepage and aligns performance indicators with the Strategic Plan while surfacing key School Report Card data. Board members complimented the visuals and ease of comparison to state benchmarks.
Dr. Sean Rhoads summarized recent Panorama survey results for students, staff and parents. Students reported strengths in preparedness, self-management, classroom effort, social awareness and use of learning strategies, while noting that emotional literacy and perspective-taking need additional focus. Staff results indicated strong belonging and collaboration but a need for more instructional support through feedback, consultation and coaching — a need administration tied to staffing shortages in assistant principals, instructional coaches and literacy specialists. Parent responses praised school climate but requested improvements in two-way communication and home–school partnership opportunities.
