Attorney Patton Hahn presented propagation maps showing a coverage gap on Government Boulevard and told the board the proposed 150-foot tower would improve wireless service for multiple carriers. "This is a proposal to build a 150 foot cell tower on Government Boulevard," Hahn said, explaining the site also includes room for three carriers and an engineered fall zone.
Board members questioned alternatives such as small cells and discussed variances for setbacks, gravel surfacing, landscaping and camouflage. Staff noted public comments raising access/frontage concerns, but the applicant explained parcel constraints and said alternative sites were pursued. The board approved the conditional-use permit and associated site variances, subject to the conditions listed in the staff report.
