Board awards $1.24 million roof retrofit contract for Lakeview to Malcor Roofing

The Center Cass SD 66 Board of Education approved a $1,243,975 contract with Malcor Roofing for the Lakeview Roof Retrofit, the lowest responsive bid. The superintendent reported that once completed, all roofs at Lakeview will have been upgraded. Doug Wiley moved the award and Darren Spiegel seconded; the motion passed 7–0.
Board members said the favorable bids would allow the district to proceed with bringing Lakeview’s roofing infrastructure up to date. The action is part of the district’s capital improvement work and is coordinated with planned summer projects including the Phase 1 parking lot replacement.
