Board approves Consolidated District Plan for Federal Grants FY27

The Chadwick-Milledgeville Community Unit School District #399 Board of Education approved its Consolidated District Plan for Federal Grants for fiscal year 2027, a required annual action for districts that receive federal education funds.
The motion, made by T. Hackbarth and seconded by M. Urish, passed by voice vote (7 ayes). Superintendent T. Schurman explained that the plan is required each year by the Illinois State Board of Education and by the Federal Department of Education and that approval is necessary "in order to qualify for federal funding." The board did not attach conditions to the approval; the plan will form the basis for applying and receiving federal grant allocations in FY27.
